A true basket case, in every sense of the expression. Not a thing on this rig wasn't in need of some sort of repair. Dave wanted a trailworthy rig that they could be proud of. Sigma delivers. Follow along as this one takes shape. Some rig specs: CJ7, Chevy Dana60 front, 14 bolt rear, TPI motor with siamese runners, SM465, NP205, 39.5 Iroks on H1's, full cage with seat mounts, all the normal goodies.


	Some shots of how it arrived to us. Thrown together on a trailer, axles barely under it, engine sitting on the deck, etc. Definitely not a weekend project by far. Let's get started.


	With the tub removed and hauled away to be worked and painted, we pulled the chassis into the shop to disassemble and assess what needed to be done. What we found was a lot of frame rot, poorly engineered spring outboarding, missed welds, poor welds, etc. Much worse than we had imagined.


	While waiting for parts, time was utilized in the tear down and rebuild of the H1 wheels. The magnesium runflats were cut down smooth, and the outer shells were fitted with some flame rock rings. Once back together, the olive and black paint scheme turned out nice.


	Frame repair was done in the crossmember mount, motor mount, spring mount, and shackle mount areas. Any place where new force would be applied to the frame, we plated it and made it rock-worthy. The entire thing was then sandblasted and etch primed.


	New heavy duty shackle hangers and spring mounts were put on after some careful measuring of the axle spring pad widths. Once happy with their placement, we burned them in and threw some springs on it. YJ sock lift springs in the front, and XJ stock lift springs in the rear, reversed for wheelbase extension.


	Back on it's feet, and waiting for the tub to be finished and painted. Once the tub is on, we move to motor mounts, tcase crossmember, and then on to the little details. Stay tuned, more to come!
